January 24th (Broke, but Still Fashionable)

Ok lets just admit it, I really fell off the band wagon. I have not steered away from spending my money. Ok so I have some legit reasons:

1) I have been shedding the pounds as I hit the gym so I cannot hide behind loose sweaters no more so here are a few photos of me in my new body. Lol that sounds so lame...

Quite a ways to go...
Newer photos will be added when I can find my camera adapter.
As for a way to stop spending I just left NY & CO so I will need to find another way to make money. Maybe the lack of funds will stop me from spending? Who knows, all I can do is hope so and luckily soon I can get back to sewing so hopefully I can show you guys how to make pj bottoms as soon as I get the fabric.

January 23rd (Long Lean Little Fashion Machine!)

I apologize it really has been forever. I have been finding myself in different ways... yes as cheesy as it may sound I have found through my amazing boyfriend that I should not settle for less. I am young, pretty, smart and who knew but strong!

It's nothing like a boyfriend in the military to bring out your inner wonder woman :) As proof of my confidence here is a new look!

This look except for the shoes is Express! One of my all time fave stores a great place to pick up trendy, young styles. Of course it is on the pricey side. Yes my new years resolution has gone done the drain what can I say it is so hard to wear the same clothing all year! I have been trying! I swear!

As for this look black is a must have especially with a light color. It is a great feminine combination, feel great in shorts and show off your amazing curves!

Until next time stay stylish! :)

January 22nd (Leather & Lace)

I have been busy, and maybe ashamed that yes I have once more broke my new years resolution. I spent all my tax return money on clothes and my trip to New York. And what an amazing trip it was, I had never been there before and afterwards I have already found my apartment (One overlooking central park, any of them I am not picky)

Lets get back to fashion, as I am sure that is why you are here...

This photo may not be fantastic, but here I want to let you know that hard and soft elements work well together.

January 21st (I Love you Like a Love Song Baby)

I like the sound of being my guy's girlfriend, now I feel inclined to dress amazing everyday. Not that I wasn't before. When he itroduces me to people he knows; and this guy is so lovable that he knows everyone, I always hope I look great.

January 20th (One of the Boys)

Now since I started dating my new boyfriend, I began befriending his buds and boys. Being slightly younger then them I have tried proving age differences do not count when it comes to love by dressing maturely to impress everyone.

Dressing to impress can go two ways, either you can go causual or dress up. I have been doing a little of both, hey you know me any excuse to wear high heels.

Heres a question; why is age so important?

January 19th (Girly, Sexy, Confident Me)

Today my college went back in session, well on the date posted above. Anyways you know the drill new semester, new teachers and more homework oh boy. Couldn't I just have like maybe five more weeks of break, you know a break for your break?

The first day back is always the hardest, especially when you want to find the perfect outfit that describes yourself. For me? I guess my list would be girly, a tiny bit sexy, and gives me a somewhat confident look even if I do not feel 100% confident.

Girly: The shoes, top and studs.
Sexy: My tinted Burts Bees lip balm, this stuff rocks! It does not dry out your lips and it is all natural, now that's sexy.
Confidence: My loyal jeggings, they will always fit me even on fat days, remember the food baby? Also it helps when my hair is tamed.

January 18th (Wearing Shorts in Winter!)

Over here, winter has been so warm lately. The other day it was 50! Crazy right? I decided to wear shorts, but in the way you can only do in fall or winter with tights.

Shorts are really fun to wear in winter, I love havng access to my whole closet. Fall and Spring are my favorite seasons I love the refreshing weather, winter can be so cold but around here it has been beautiful.

January 17th (To me it's Black & White)

Yes, I am way behind on updates, but now that I uploaded photos on my computer you should expect some more updates soon.

I decided to go back to my dating portion at least for this post as I have been spending a lot of time with my boyfriend.

As I have started a new relationship, I have started trying a few new things in my style. You might gradually over time see a difference in my style. This outfit is pretty simple, yet the print and black and white kind of give it a minor edge. I paired this outfit with my leather jacket, no I was not trying to be a motorcycle chick. I was only playing with fashion.

January 16th (What does not Itch Makes you Stronger)

It has been so cold lately, usually I am no fan to bundling up except when I am tired. Tired and Work can be a terribly mix especially when your job requires a happy greeting to every customer that walks through the doors. And where I work there are plenty of them, if you are not tired when you came into the store you are definitely when you leave it.

When I know the day at work is going to drain me of every single piece of energy in my body I do two things; keep a good amount of water nearby whether flavored or not, and wear the most comfortably clothing I can possibly find without looking like I am waling outside in my pj's. For this outfit above I choice black yoga pants (which I got for 99 cents at Rite Aid after +UP rewards) and a nice comfy top and sweater. For most cases wool is perfect in a winter top, however my skin seriously hates it. Really just touching it gives me hives, so you can understand I really dislike wearing it. It is only for the most bitter cold weather that I dare sacrifice my epidermis.

January 15th (Working Girl)

Yes, I have been AWOL for a couple of days. I have been balancing my private life, but I am back. At the moment dating outfits will be on hiatus.

Sorry about the blurriness of this image, my camera is not always perfect. Anywho, this outfit is one that can be converted into work attire. At my job jeans are not allowed but wearing slacks can be a pain, I almost always put slacks in the same category with sneakers. They simply are just not my thing. However, with the weather getting colder I need to stay warm so my usual work alternative (the skirt) is not going to be an option anymore.

For this outfit I took a yellow dress shirt, bleached jeans and a cardi. This makes an outfit perfect from switching to chill time to work time.

January 14th (Baby it is Cold Outside)

Here is the next installment of my dating  section. When it comes to my boyfriend and I, comfort has become one of my top choices. Of course no surprise, when comfy I still want to look amazing. But wearing sweats and your boyfriend's old sweater is not always ideal. I mean what would happen if in the rush of one somewhat normal day you were to end up on TV dressed like that.

OK, so he may find you sexy wrapped in his clothes. But come on! We tend to look like a small weak boy, I like looking girly, sexy, and feminine.
What makes this outfit comfy is jeggings and the satin-like feel of the top is luxury. However, the earrings and top together make this outfit stylish.

As always pair a cardi with the outfit for a stylish way to stay warm.

However, if the winter chill is getting to you and cuddling with your loved one is not working for you then take a favorite sweater to cover this stylish outfit. In case of an emergency it can be removed in seconds if for some reason Ryan Seacrest is knocking at your door.

January 13th (Impress me!)

Freaked out yet? It is Friday the 13th! So my next 'date' outfit is not spectacular but it has been quite a long day. No, nothing overly exciting happened to me it was just a long day.
I apologize for the bad quality of this image.
It may not be clear but I am wearing tan tights, a red skirt, and white blouse. This outfit could be meeting your significant other's family. I am so glad that from day one things went well between me and C's mother.

When you dress to impress, focus more on being conservative. You may want to look attractive for your love, but showing off your cleavage or butt crack so unattractive!

January 12th (Come out Vixen wherever you are)

Ok, as i have stated before I love to dress up. I will take any excuse to wear high heels, heck this blog is one of the many more reasons I can wear them. "They make me look taller and leaner," has become a new mantra of mine. Really, once you start photographing yourself you begin to see yourself in a new light. Just when I was beginning to love and accept myself. Well... it's not so bad I just must be trying to get over that food baby from last week. (terms can be explained in previous posts)

Lets get to the main point of this new point shall we? I find the best reason to be in a relationship (other then the   man I am madly in love with) is another excuse to dress up. For the next few days I will put up date outfits, for all sorts of occasions. I can also give you guys ways to tweak it to fit your ideal look.

This can be an any day sort of outfit, but by adding killer heels, lip stick and cute earrings it can give off your true inner vixen.
Not a fan of heels? Use simple flats, stay away from sneakers (which if you have not realized yet I despise)
Come back tomorrow for part two!

January 11th

Tonight, I was meeting new people. I wanted to impress.

First off the guitar is my dad's idea. When I dress to impress, I love to dress up. Here I put flares with a lace tank, and a cardi.

Of course the get together all depends on where you are going and what you are doing.

January 10th (Heels make the outfit)

This is another casual outfit for those who like simply colors and need little walking. Nude heels are a must for anyone they blend with your skin tone and give you more height, now who does not like that?
As you can tell I like wearing capris in winter, who says they are only for the seasons in between? Heck, I will even wear shorts in winter, with tights of course.
In my eye fashion is filled with surprises.

January 9th (the attack of the giggles)

There are days you have when you have no idea what the weather will be like, will the sun shine or will the heaven's open up? In these sort of cases I dress in a way I feel practical, first I have my wellies (that is what the English call rain boots) Mine have been so tattered and worn that I needed to duck tape the back. Next jean capris always feel like a strong choice, as long as there is no snow on the ground, you can also put flats or flip flops in your bag if the weather changes. Again I am wearing a long top, this one has a funky pattern that goes with my wellies and earrings.

I have to admit again I bought something else today; earrings. After getting my ears pierced once more, I felt the need to buy more earrings. Hey, when you are with your gals sometimes shopping can happen so easily. The giggles blind you! OK now I realize I am being ridiculous, I will update tomorrow.

January 8th (I swear I am not a zombie!)

So, I will admit it. While shopping yesterday I bought a bag, however not just any bag a coach bag... I will get back on the wagon again as some people would say. All I can say now is that it could have been worse. At least I can work tonight knowing that I will make more than the fifty dollars I spent on the bag.

What you all should expect in the coming week is hopefully my first diy project (as long as I can regain my energy) I have been such a zombie the past few days, so tired! Also I will try and create some chic date outfits, even if you are not going out it can be fun to dress up.

As I am working today I thought I would put together an appropriate attire for in the office or just out about in town. This blouse is perfect for days you can cover up, what I lovingly call my 'food baby'. I have been eating out so many days out this week that my stomach has lost it's preferred flatness. This skirt also shows off my legs and the satin heels are such a nice touch!

Hopefully by tomorrow I will feel more  awake, I am trying to sustain myself better with healthy alternatives and try to succeed in both my new years resolutions.

If I finally can finish the PJ's I am making I can show you all how to make them without a pattern, I guess all of us will just need to wait and see.

How do you guys keep yourself awake and alert?

January 7th (Jeggings part 2)

I do not have much to say today except that I am so worn out from shopping with my BFF, it is her last day before she leaves! God, I will miss her!

Anywho, here I am with another installment of jeggings (sorry that I  blinked in the photo, the self timer can really suck at some points...) This outfit is similar to yesterdays just another point of proving that jeggings are amazing.

I am heading to take a nap, so continue to enjoy your break or just the weekend. Stay well and healthy as I know alot of people are getting sick.

January 6th (bye, bye sweatpants)

I had a simple stay in day, one that most people may just turn to sweatpants. Lets all just admit it that in our worst of times when it is just your self alone, you tend to curl up under a blanket with something sweet and watch Sex and the City. Hey Carrie must have had her own days like that, right? All those times between Big, Burger, and Aiden?
However, there is an alternative to sweatpants and they are called jeggings (leggings that are jeans) These are one of my favorite must haves and if you do not have any in your closet go out and buy some. They can be paired with any shirt, I prefer tunics or blouses.

They look like jeans right? You know another reason I love them is that my weight is always fluctuating so when my jeans get to big and hang off me, jeggings don't.

What is your closet must have?
Remember to take a look below at my poll or better yet just comment here. Thank you all for reading, the 40+ of you who found my page. You are all amazing!

January 5th

Today, I decided to show you all another dressy yet casual look.

I took a simple LBD (little black dress), with black tights, leather boots, and a cardi to pull over it. This outfit can be pulled off anywhere: parties whether casual or fancy (for the latter replace the cardi with a shawl and the boots for either heels or ballet flats), this can also be great for work, school, or chilling with friends.

Sorry for such a short post!

January 4th

It is hard to believe that I have 3 more weeks until I head back to uni. So many of my friends are leaving for school, or have already left. So I feel that now is the perfect time to squeeze as much of time together that I possibly can.

I am not a fan of being a plain-Jane, I love patterns and colors. This look is more subdue then what I would usually wear for an outing with friends to the Cheesecake Factory.

I am wearing a jersey pencil skirts from TJ Maxx, I feel this can be a struggle to wear but once I got one I think it actually suits me. My blouse is from Forever 21, one of my favorite stores, however I am not ready to go in there, I am not fully in control of not buying clothes. At least not just  yet. Anywho, this loose blouse balances the tightness of my skirt and may hide my gut. (you know too much cheesecake yum!) The cardi is from Target, I feel it pulls it together, I will post what I nearly wore today down below.
This is a chunky woolen sweater, I prefer the cardi instead.

Thanks for reading! Please look at my poll and respond!

January 3rd

Today, was another busy day at work so today's look will be my usual go-to for my job as a Sales Associate. At a job it is ALWAYS important to dress to impress in a simple and mature outfit, prove to those around you that you are here to work.

I am wearing brown slacks, from the limited that were passed down to me from my mother. A fancy shirt, or a blouse can be a perfect pairing, when necessary wear a tank! I probably own around 10 or more of all sorts of different cuts and colors. The earrings and the ring are both a present from my boyfriend and his family, after all tis' the season to wear the gifts. My hair has been misbehaving with the weather so I tied it back. If you are not working as an exotic dancer or a young star, then wear Simple makeup, I always wear less so I look chic and elegant without looking trashy.

New Years Resolutions:
~ exercise more
~ Spend less, work more

Here is my next question: what is your weakness when you shop? ~ mine is shoes!

Until next time keep dressing sharp!

January 2nd

So I appear to like posting a day before, I am sure when I head back to school this habit will change. For now enjoy the early posts. For those of you (the 5 who took a look at my first post, thank you).
For my second outfit, I choose a cute everyday casual yet chic look.
I matched flare jeans and a loose peasant top together, for some this may be considered a no-no (mixing two over sized draped forms) Yet, if you look both the top and the jeans have a place where they hug my body. The top is cinched in the waist, perfect for any figure (mine is an hourglass, however the triangles, pears and apples can also look fantastic in this easy and simple look) Also the flared jeans are tight in the thighs. However, because of my short physique I needed 4 inch heels, not everyone will need this especially if you already have the height on your side. For jewelry for this look I used a set of black earrings (in later blogs I will add photos of my jewelry and other accessories that hare hard to see in my photos.) My hair styling was a simple ponytail.

In my last blog I asked what was your new years resolutions, I will ask one more time.
However, as promised here is mine: other then this blog which I said in my first post I WILL NOT buy clothes or accessories, my other one is  to increase my sewing as I am a fashion major. So expect some diy projects.

Until next time, keep dressing sharp!
